Commonwork

My brother suggested I meet him at what I thought was going to be simply a farm open day in Chiddingstone Causeway last weekend.

It was one of those happy coincidences. The open day at Commonwork at Bore Place was magical.  The sausages were good too.

Having missed going on a course about making shingles it turned out that the man who lead that course, John Waller, was not just at the event but is actually based at Bore Place as Underwoodsman.  Watching him and his volunteer friend Mike at work was not just an education but an inspiration.

Now I just have to make myself a shaving horse.  Just.  Lordy.  I bet it’s going to come out wonky.  Watch this space.
